When does a tough requisite become a special privilege? On the list of qualifications for Cambiando Vidas Scholarship support Community Service for ONE YEAR (or more) stands out. Those who commit to this difficult and often dirty work discover one of life’s special secrets. Service to others really does bring happiness … so much in fact, E B A C H was born!
In 2001, Cambiando Vidas formed EBACH for scholarship students. The anagram means “Estudiantes Becados Agradecidos de Chacala” (Grateful Scholarship Students in Chacala). EBACH is an all student organization that plans, schedules and oversees the Community Service Programs. Participation is a privilege each member values for leadership opportunities, great fellowships and that natural-happy-lift that only comes from service to others. Our future community leaders are “Here Now.” EBACH members model inspiration to younger children so they too see themselves as reliable workers, getting well educated and joining the ranks of responsible citizens.
